Botox

What to Expect

Neurotoxins are the cornerstone of a solid aesthetic foundation, helping smooth fine lines and refresh your look. During your consultation, our nurse injector will take the time to understand your goals and determine which of our four neurotoxins is right for you. Treatment is quick, virtually painless, and uses the latest techniques for your comfort and safety.

Results typically take 7 to 14 days to take full effect. At 14 to 21 days post-treatment, if an area needs a little more attention, you may come in for a complimentary refresh appointment. Results generally last 3 to 5 months.

Before Your Appointment

• Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior. Alcohol thins the blood and increases bruising.
• Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 2 weeks prior if possible, including aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John's Wort, omega-3 / fish oil, ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDs.
• Schedule your appointment at least 4 weeks before any major event. Results appear in about 2 weeks, and bruising or swelling can occur during that time.
• Stop Retin-A 2 days before and 2 days after treatment.
• Reschedule if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the treatment area.
• If you have a history of cold sores, let us know. An antiviral may be prescribed.
• Eat a good meal before your appointment to prevent light headedness.
• You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

After Your Appointment

• Maintain an upright position for 4 to 6 hours post-treatment.
• Do not ice the area unless specifically instructed. Ice can interfere with product placement.
• Avoid touching, massaging, or manipulating treated areas for 48 hours.
• Avoid rigorous exercise for 48 hours.
• Tylenol or ibuprofen may be taken if you experience a mild headache.
• Results are not immediate. Expect full effect at 14 days.
• Side effects may include temporary pain, swelling, tenderness, redness, or bruising at injection sites.

Maintenance: Results are temporary. We recommend rebooking every 3 to 5 months to maintain your results.
