How to Prepare

Discontinue self-tanner and tanning beds at least 4 weeks before.

Avoid extended sun exposure in the 14 days before and 14 days after.

No facial waxing for 7 days before or 3 weeks after.

If on an acne regimen, stop Doxycycline, Renova, Differin, Tazorac, Avage, EpiDuo, or Ziana 5 days before.

No Accutane for at least 2 months prior.

Stop Retin-A/retinol 7–10 days before; Alpharet: 5 days prior. Stop AHAs and BHAs 5 days before.

Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
After Care Instructions

You may experience redness that resolves within a few hours after treatment.

Pigmented spots may darken for up to 4 weeks before fading and flaking off; this is normal and expected. Do not pick the pigment that pulls up. This will fall off on its own.

Cleanse gently twice daily with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. No scrubbing, exfoliating brushes, or washcloths.
Apply SPF 30+ every single day — this is non-negotiable for 14 days post-treatment and beyond.

Makeup can be applied immediately in most cases, unless we are treating acne.

Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating until your skin has healed.

If the treated area feels very warm within the first 12 hours, a cold compress can provide comfort.

Avoid saunas, heated workouts, or hot tubs for 72 hours.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Results Timeline
24-72 HOURS
Redness resolves. Pigmented spots may appear darker; this is the treatment working.
1-4 WEEKS
Dark spots begin to fade and flake off naturally. Skin tone becomes more even.
3-4 MONTHS
Full results visible. Skin looks clearer, brighter, and more youthful with each treatment series.

Contact us at (303) 351-1418 immediately if you notice blistering, broken skin, or unusual changes. Delayed blistering from sun exposure can occur up to 72 hours post-treatment. Keep the area covered and protected.
