Sculptra works with your body over time. The more you follow these steps, the better your collagen response and your results.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
How to Prepare

Book at least 2 weeks before any special event or vacation.

Reschedule if you develop a cold, flu, cold sore, or skin condition in the treatment area — wait until it fully clears.

Stop blood-thinning supplements (aspirin- if approved by your doctor, ibuprofen, Aleve, fish oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, ginkgo, ginseng, garlic) at least 1 week before. Talk to your provider about any prescription blood thinners.

Avoid alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.

Sculptra is not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have autoimmune disorders. Please let your provider know if you have any autoimmune conditions.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
After Care Instructions

Massage the treated areas 5 times per day, for 5 minutes each time, for 5 days after treatment. This is essential for Sculptra results.

Keep your head elevated for at least 4 hours after treatment.

Swelling, redness, and possible bruising are normal — these typically resolve within 7 days.

The volume you see immediately will decrease after ~3 days as the water carrier absorbs. This is normal.

Avoid extended sun exposure until any redness or swelling has fully resolved. Always wear SPF 30+.

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Avoid strenuous alcohol for 24 hours.

Wait 2 weeks before having any other aesthetic treatments.

Resume your topical skincare routine 2–3 days after your injection.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Results Timeline
1-3 DAYS
Immediate volume from the water carrier. This is temporary. Swelling and redness resolve within a week.
2-6 WEEKS
Volume from the water carrier fades. Your body begins building new collagen beneath the surface.
2-6 MONTHS
Natural-looking volume gradually appears as collagen production increases. Results build with each session.
WHEN TO CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY
Contact us at (303) 351-1418 immediately if you notice blistering, broken skin, or unusual changes. Delayed blistering from sun exposure can occur up to 72 hours post-treatment. Keep the area covered and protected.
